1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Construction Maths ("we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the website as well as any other media form, connected tools, calculators, or applications related thereto (collectively, the "Site").
By accessing the Site, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Site and you must discontinue use immediately.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise indicated, the Site is our proprietary property. All source code, databases, calculator algorithms, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the Site (collectively, the "Content") and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the "Marks") are owned or controlled by us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
The underlying formulas and mathematics used in our calculators may be standard industry knowledge, but the specific coded logic, digital execution, and user interface of these tools are the exclusive property of Construction Maths.
3. User License & Permitted Use
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access and use the calculators and information provided on the Site strictly for personal, educational, or internal commercial estimation purposes.
Under this license, you may not:
- Extract, reverse engineer, or attempt to decipher any source code or algorithms belonging to the calculators.
- Scrape, data-mine, or systematically pull data from the Site to create a competing database or application.
- Embed our calculators onto external websites without obtaining prior written permission or utilizing official, approved embed codes provided by us.
- Use the tools for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including violating any local building codes or safety regulations.
4. Disclaimer of Liability Regarding Calculations
Your use of the site is subject to our comprehensive Disclaimer. We emphasize that all tools are for estimating purposes only. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any calculated results. You agree that Construction Maths is not liable for material shortages, overages, structural failures, or financial losses resulting from the use of our calculators.
5. User Generated Inputs
Our calculators require you to input specific measurements and data. We do not save, store, or monitor these temporary inputs on our servers (unless explicitly using a "save project" feature where account creation is noted). You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the dimensions and values you input into the tools. Garbage data in will result in garbage data out.
6. Modifications and Interruptions
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site (including modifying calculator formulas or adding/removing tools) at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site.
We cannot guarantee the Site will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the Site, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions and your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with standard international internet laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to your access to or use of the Site shall be instituted in a recognized jurisdiction as determined by the owners of Construction Maths.
8. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms. Such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
